The Lifeguard Training Class:
Become an American Red Cross Lifeguard. Course teaches the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, CPR, First Aid and AED training.
Must be at least age 15 on last day of class; proof of age required.
Fee includes $50 non-refundable deposit.
Participants must pass the pretest in order to continue with the full training course.
The pre-test and consists of:
-300 yard swim using only Freestyle and Breaststroke
-2 minutes treading water with legs ONLY
-Retrieval of 10 pound rubber brick from 20 yards and returning to start (timed)

Course schedule:
This is a hybrid class; each student will need access to an electronic device and internet. Some online work will be required before the start of class.
Session times may vary slightly based on pool availability.
A deep water session will be held at another location during a scheduled class time.
All regularly scheduled sessions are mandatory, the schedule may change depending on the pace of the class.
Recommended items for class are food, water, light jacket, towels, goggles, and properly fitting swimsuit [no bikinis please].
